Confidentiality

Information about clients is confidential.  I will not disclose information from or about you unless I feel that it is necessary for the safety of another individual.  In such a case I would, if possible, discuss disclosure of information with you.

Record Keeping

I retain contact information for clients.  This contact information is kept separate from any client notes that are taken during the course of counselling.  Both contact information and client notes are destroyed at the end of counselling.  I do not retain any records in computerised form.  Staff at the Rodger Duckworth Physiotherapy Centre will only be told your Christian names.

Duration of Counselling

I do not work to any fixed programme of counselling.  It is an open-ended process.  It is primarily up to you as clients to decide how long counselling should continue, though as a counsellor I will ensure that we regularly review the usefulness of counselling to you and will help you to establish clear aims and objectives.

Unexpected Meetings

If we meet unexpectedly, I will not greet you, as some people can find that embarrassing.  However, if you wish to greet me, I am happy for you to do so.

Charges

My charges for counselling are £40 per hour.  You can pay either by cash or cheque, but I regret I am not able to accept payment by credit or debit card.

Cancellations

If you are unable to attend an appointment, please give as much notice as possible.  If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, you will normally be charged for the appointment
